Q: Is Brad Wannamaker the most frustrating player to ever play at Pitt? One time down the floor he makes a great play then the next two times he takes a wild shot, or charges or turns the ball over somehow. But just when you think Pitt is about to go under he makes a play again. Arrrrgh.
Jon, Reading, Pa.
FITTIPALDO: A lot of poeple share in your frustration, Jon. Wanamaker is second on the team i scoring behind Ashton Gibbs with 11.6 points per game. He is also second on the team in turnovers with 20. Wanamaker giveth and he taketh away. The Duquesne game was a pretty good synopsis of his season. He has a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, but he also has four turnovers. He scores on a driving layup in the first overtime period to give Pitt its first lead of the game. Then on another occasion he puts his shoulder down like he's a football player and bulls into a Duquesne defender for a charigng foul. I think Wanamaker is one player who will benefit from the return of Jermaine Dixon and Gilbert Brown. Right now, he is playing 31.4 minutes per game. That's too much for him. He is probably someone who should be logging 23-25 minutes a game. That likely will happen when Dixon and Brown return to the lineup.
