Body found in North Huntingdon house
Thursday, December 03, 2009

The Westmoreland County coroner's office will conduct an autopsy today for a man whose "mummified" remains were found yesterday in his deceased father's house in North Huntingdon.

Kenneth Michael Kaduk, 56, may have been dead for up to six months when his body was discovered on the floor of the home on McKee Road shortly after 2 p.m., Deputy Coroner Dennis Johns said.

Police broke into the home through a back window with an attorney for the Kaduk family who was hoping to get information about Mr. Kaduk's father, who died in 2006, Mr. Johns said. Relatives had infrequent contact with Mr. Kaduk and they were unaware that he had been living in the house.

"They'd been looking for him for months," Mr. Johns said. "He was just sort of a loner, a drifter."

Mr. Johns said no foul play is suspected in Mr. Kaduk's death.
