The Allegheny County medical examiner's office determined that the woman whose body was found yesterday near railroad tracks in Bellevue died from blunt force trauma to the head and trunk.
Allegheny County police identified the woman yesterday as Antoinette Giuliani, 69, of Bellevue. Her body was discovered shortly after noon yesterday by a crew on a passing Norfolk Southern Railway train.
The manner of death is pending investigation, the Medical Examiner's office said.
County police said in a statement yesterday that they do not suspect foul play. Investigators said a family member last saw Ms. Giuliani on Thanksgiving morning.
