N. Huntingdon officer hurt in crash

A North Huntingdon police officer was injured and flown to Allegheny General Hospital last night after his motorcycle struck a car on Route 30 in Irwin.

Acting Irwin Police Chief Joseph Pocsatko said Officer Carl Steinkopf Jr. was conscious and talking, but was banged up and may have a broken wrist after the 9:45 p.m. accident.

The incident is still under investigation.
