Q: Hi Ed; Happy Thanksgiving! With the Charlie Batch injury, do think they should sign Jeff Garica? I think he should be playing in NFL still.

BOUCHETTE: That's a tough call, and one they never made, by the way. I talked to Garcia's agent, Steve Baker, on Monday and he told me they never called him. At this point in the season, you'd really have to be in deep trouble to sign a veteran quarterback. Batch will return in 2-4 weeks and there's little Garcia could have done for you this week or maybe even next with the short week anyway. Roethlisberger apparently is fine and they have Dennis Dixon. I think the chances of both getting knocked out of the same game are slim.
