Submit your Pitt football question
Thanks for participating in the Pitt football Q&A.
Keep the questions rolling in and I will answer them every day throughout the season and through whatever bowl game Pitt goes to and through signing day in February.
You can follow the Panthers daily here as well as our Pitt football blog.

One other thing -- my weekly live Pitt chats will take place Thursday at noon.
Q: What is Coach Wannstedt's contract status? I recall he was given an extension right before 13-9 in 2007, but don't recall for how long. Is he up for renewal? Do you know how many more years he wants to coach?
Terry Lawson, Houston, Texas
ZEISE: Yes, he has three years -- 2010, 2011 and 2012 remaining on that extension but I would think that he'll be getting another extension either after this season or next. I asked him point blank about how many years he'd like to coach and he said as long as he is healthy and it is enjoyable to him he could see himself doing it for another 10 years. I'd be shocked if he lasts that long just because he has a lot of other interests and he is a guy who likes to spend time with his wife and his kids and his grandchild so, at some point, I'd expect him to step away and just enjoy life.
Q: Do you think Buddy Morris is going to be at Pitt for awhile?
Roger F., Buffalo
ZEISE: I would think the fact that he is a Pitt guy at heart, he loves it here and he loves working with Dave Wannstedt and his staff means that he is clearly going to have to be persuaded with an "offer too good to be true" to leave again. Of course, money talks and if someone came at him with the right offer, I'm sure he'd listen. It would be a big blow to Pitt, too, although his assistant James Smith, does a great job and has a very similar mentality and uses very similar motivational tactics so if he were promoted he could keep the ball rolling, so to speak. Smith is an interesting guy -- an ex-Navy Seal who clearly is a guy the players understand they'd be wise not to mess with.
Q: What is Pitt's turnover ratio this year so far and where does it rank nationally? It seems that between that and sacks for and against, they have to be one of the best in all three areas.
Tony Apoksua, Pittsburgh
ZEISE: Pitt has had only four passes intercepted (tied for fifth fewest in the NCAA), has only fumbled five times (tied for seventh) and has only nine total turnovers (tied for third). Pitt is 69th in fumbles recovered (eight), 62nd in turnovers gained (19) and eight in turnover margin (+1 per game). The Panthers have also allowed only nine sacks (tied for ninth) and lead the nation in sacks (41).
