A Lawrence County man was killed last night in a two-car collision in Mahoning, Coroner Russell Noga said.
Michael Peace, 22, of Edinburg, had been a passenger in a car driven by his friend Joshua Hulton, 22, that collided nearly head-on with another vehicle at 11:03 p.m. on Route 422, known locally as Ben Franklin Highway, just east of Palmer Road.
Mr. Peace was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:35 p.m. by Mr. Noga.
Mr. Hulton, of Ohio, was in critical condition last night in St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
The other driver, Marilyn Gallagher, 49, of Edinburg, was in fair condition today in St. Elizabeth, a spokeswoman said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
