Steelers backup quarterback Charlie Batch has a broken left wrist, the Steelers confirmed today. He will undergo surgery Tuesday or Wednesday, a source close to Batch told the Post-Gazette.
Batch entered Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime after starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left with a possible concussion after taking a blow to the head from a knee. The Chiefs went on to win the game, 27-24.
Roethlisberger, who said after the game yesterday that he did not know whether he had received a concussion, was at the Steelers training facility on the South Side today and seemed OK. He was to undergo a standard battery of neurological tests.
