Duquesne junior Damian Saunders was named the Atlantic 10 co-Player of the Week for the second consecutive week following his performance in Duquesne's 52-50 win at Iowa on Nov. 17.
The 6-foot-7 forward posted his second double-double of the season with 16 points, 16 rebounds, three blocks and also had six steals as the Dukes posted the school's first-ever win in a Big Ten arena.
Saunders shares this week's award with Xavier sophomore guard Jordan Crawford.
Duquesne (2-0) returns to action tomorrow against Binghamton (1-2) in the O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic at Cullowhee, N.C. The Binghamton game is the first of three in three days for the Dukes who will face Arkansas-Monticello on Tuesday and tournament host Western Carolina on Wednesday.
