Man shot in the head in Uptown

City police are looking for help in their investigation of a shooting at 4:26 a.m. in Uptown.

Daniel Baptist, 19, was found at about 4:30 a.m. with multiple gunshots to the head and chest, according to police.

He is in critical condition at UPMC Mercy where he underwent emergency surgery.

The shooting occurred outside 2016 Tustin St. Mr. Baptist was found lying in the street.

No arrests have been made.

Homicide detectives learned that Mr. Baptist had just left a party and had walked to the corner with the intentions of going home when witnesses heard gunshots. Witnesses could not provide any more details of the incident at this time, police said.
