A Venango County man, injured in a one-vehicle crash in October in Mercer County, died this week in an Ohio hospital, state police said.

Earl J. Donahue, 78, of Polk, was injured Oct. 25 when he lost control of his car at 6 a.m. on a sharp curve in Route 358, known locally as Lake Wilhelm Road in Perry, Mercer County.

His vehicle struck a road sign warning of the curves in the roadway, as well as three guide rail posts before it went airborne and rolled over, landing on its wheels, police said.

Mr. Donahue was taken to Greenville Hospital and transferred to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
