Sunday, November 22, 2009

From Ronald Reagan's shining city on a hill to George W. Bush's shining moment on an aircraft carrier, from Bill Clinton's place called hope to Barack Obama's audacity of hope, the last 25 years in politics have provided rich fodder for the cartoonist's pen. Pg Cartoonist Rob Rogers has been there for it all. rob, who began his career at the Pittsburgh Press in 1984 and then joined the Post-Gazette in 1993, has drawn roughly 6,000 cartoons during the last quarter-century. many of them are in his new book, "no cartoon left behind! The best of Rob Rogers" (Carnegie Mellon University Press).

We asked him to count down his top 25 favorite cartoon subjects, in no particular order. Just click on the image to the right for a big dose of raging ridicule!

For more information, see robrogers.com. and if you are so inclined, you can buy the book at the pg store: post-gazette.com/pgstore.
