An armed robber is being sought after the holdup Wednesday of a PNC Bank branch in North Huntingdon, police said.
The man robbed the bank, in the North Huntingdon Square Shopping Plaza, at 1:12 p.m., brandishing a handgun as he demanded money from tellers.
The suspect is a middle-aged white man who wore blue sweat pants, hiking boots, and a beige jacket that has what appeared to be an Olympic logo on the left chest area. He also wore a blue ball cap with a logo.
After the holdup, the suspect ran out a back door, up a flight of stairs and into a parking lot.
Investigators did not disclose the amount of money taken.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is asked to contact North Huntingdon police at 724-863-8800.
