State unemployment rate steady at 8.8 percent

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry reported this afternoon that Pennsylvania's unemployment rate held steady from September to October, remaining at 8.8 percent.

The state's rate is now 1.4 percentage points below the national average of 10.2 percent.
