An armed robber took an undisclosed amount of money from an attendant at the Alco parking lot outside on Sandusky Street on the North Side yesterday, police said.
The suspect is a skinny, light-skinned black man armed with a silver pistol, about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He wore a blue and white hoodie emblazoned with a skull pattern, black pants, a mask pulled over his chin and mouth, and a black glove on his right hand with a white stripe between index finger and thumb, police said.
The attendant told police the suspect was at the door of the ticket booth where he displayed the weapon and demanded money.
After the robbery, the suspect ran in the direction of Sandusky Street, under the train tracks toward Allegheny Commons.
No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made.
Investigators said they believe the suspect is the same man who robbed an attendant Nov. 5 at the Alco Gold Lot 1 in the 600 block of West General Robinson Boulevard.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to contact the Police Bureau's robbery squad at 412-323-7151. Callers can remain anonymous.
