NEW RESTAURANTS

• Jasmine Mediterranean Restaurant, Mt. Lebanon, a Culinary Concept of Pittsburgh restaurant, is now open; 1928 Cochran Road, 412-344-1001.

• Stone Mansion, Franklin Park, has closed and will soon reopen as Woodside's Grille. The restaurant will serve flatbread pizzas and salads as well as fresh seafood and steaks. Nine private rooms are available for holiday events; www.stonemansion.com; 724-934-3000.

EDIBLE EVENTS

• Naked Grape, Sewickley, is having a wine tasting Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The theme is "The ABCs of Italian Wines (Anything But Chianti)." Three wines will be paired with food, $25 per person; www.nakedgrape.net; 412-741-6420.

• Mullaney's Harp and Fiddle, Strip District, is celebrating its sixth annual Guinness Oyster Festival, Saturday from noon to 2 a.m. Enjoy oysters on the half shell, oyster soup and fried oysters. Live music from 1:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.; www.harpandfiddle.com; 412-642-6622.

• Mon Aimee Chocolat, Strip District, is carrying confections by internationally acclaimed chocolatier Norman Love, including his Black line of single origin chocolate and his pralines and truffles. • A Taste of Art at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Downtown, has introduced a fall menu with a focus on regional African cuisines. Appetizers and entrees include peanut and chicken stew from Nigeria ($3.50), grilled seafood salad from Mali ($6.50) and roasted lamb on chapatis from Kenya ($7.50). The restaurant is open 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday; reservations are recommended; 412-291-6532.
