John Pietrusinski was named principal of Pine-Richland High School in a unanimous vote of the school board Tuesday. He will begin the $95,000-a-year position Dec. 1. Mr. Pietrusinski has been acting as an interim co-principal with John Mayberry for much of this school year. Both served as the school's assistant principals last year. Previously, Mr. Pietrusinski was an assistant principal at Pine-Richland Middle School.
Although nearly everything the school board votes on is listed on its agenda in advance, this vote was not. The school board met in private session for an hour earlier in the evening to discuss personnel and a legal matter.
