Guard Alex Gensler of Upper St. Clair converted 6 of 10 field goals, all 3-pointers, and finished with 21 points as the Duquesne women moved to 3-0 with an 88-63 victory against Mount St. Mary's at A.J. Palumbo Center. It was the home opener for the Dukes.
Gensler attempted eight 3-pointers and made 3 of 4 free throws. She also had four assists.
Kelly Britcher added 14 points and five rebounds, and Keri Pryor and Rachel Frederick chipped in with 13 points apiece for Duquesne, which limited Mount St. Mary's (1-1) to 2 of 9 3-point shooting.
Ten players scored for the Dukes, who had a 45-28 halftime advantage. Duquesne made 30 of 61 field goals -- 11 of 21 3-pointers -- and 17 of 24 free throws.
Mary Dunn led Mount St. Mary's with 13 points.
