It's official: Davin re-elected in Edgewood
Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Two weeks after Election Day, Jean O. Davin has won re-election as Edgewood mayor.

She edged write-in candidate Ruth Pickering McGregor by three votes. A tabulation of write-in and absentee ballots was completed today at the Allegheny County Division of Elections.

The mayor, a Republican and the only candidate on the Nov. 3 ballot, received 318 votes. Ms. McGregor got 315.

There were 321 write-in or absentee votes for mayor, but six went to individuals other than Ms. Davin or Ms. McGregor.

The Division of Elections had 20 days after Election Day to complete tabulations.
