Steelers release backup LB Arnold Harrison
Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Backup linebacker Arnold Harrison is the first confirmed victim of the three touchdowns scored against the Steelers kickoff team.

The Steelers today released Harrison, who has been with the team off and on since 2005. They replaced him on the roster with linebacker Donovan Woods from their practice squad.

Harrison missed all of last season with a torn ACL -- he has had surgeries on both ACLs in his knees. He had seven tackles on special teams this season.

Woods was an undrafted rookie last season from Oklahoma State. He played in five regular-season games between stints on the practice squad in 2008.
