Nothing says Christmas like a living Nativity scene, complete with camels and sheep, or the legendary Rockettes. Wednesday night, a special performance of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes opened the show's run at the Benedum (it's there through Dec. 6 ) as a benefit for Child Watch, a nonprofit advocacy coalition that serves at-risk children. Some 1,700 seats of the packed house were filled by Child Watch supporters and children. Susan Crookston chaired the hard-working committee, with an assist from her mother, Judy Horgan (board chair of Child Watch) and sister-in-law Jodi Horgan. On hand for the champagne and chocolate pre-performance reception was Child Watch director Chris Smith, while primary sponsor Dollar Bank had its own bash downstairs.
