Pitt senior guard Jermaine Dixon, who is rehabilitating from foot surgery in September, will miss the next two games. Dixon will miss tomorrow's game against Binghamton and Thursday's game against Eastern Kentucky.
According to coach Jamie Dixon, Jermaine will have an x-ray Friday, when they will learn if the bone is sufficiently healed.
"He doesn't have any discomfort or pain," Jamie Dixon said. "We'll get a look at it [Friday] and see where it is."
Jamie Dixon did not set a timetable for Jermaine's return. After the Eastern Kentucky game, Pitt travels to Kansas City for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Classic for games on Nov. 23 and 24. The Nov. 23 game is against Wichita State.
"No use in speculating," Jamie Dixon said. "We'll see how it goes Friday. It's just [depends] how it looks on the x-ray and how it's healed."
Also, Pitt has set a game time for its Dec. 19 game against Mount Saint Mary's at the Petersen Events Center. The game will tip off at 4 p.m.
There are tickets available for tomorrow's game against Binghamton that will tip off at the unusual starting time of 5:30 p.m. The game is part of ESPN's 24-7 coverage of college basketball and will be televised on ESPN2.
