Here's one final look at the replicas of the ships Christopher Columbus sailed during his historic 1492 journey. This is the "Pinta" -- the "Nina" is immediately upstream. The ships were docked on the North Shore, and many of those who boarded for brief visits commented on the vessels' size. And indeed they seemed smaller that many of us imagined from our history book readings. The ships were scheduled to depart yesterday.
