Rimersburg man dies when pickups collide

A 27-year-old Rimersburg man died in a two-car crash yesterday in Bedford after he drove across the yellow center line on Route 220, according to state police.

Sheldon Andrew Gathers was traveling south in a Ford Ranger pickup truck when he drove into the path of a Ford F-250 pickup truck that was traveling north. The crash happened at about 7:15 a.m. yesterday.

Mr. Gathers was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second pickup truck, 26-year-old Nathaniel Seth Jones of Oakland, Md., suffered minor injuries.
