EDINBORO, Pa. -- A former Baldwin High School student was among three Edinboro University students killed in a two-car crash last night.

John Eyrolles, 18, of Baldwin graduated last spring from Baldwin. He was in his freshman year at Edinboro.
He had been a passenger in an older model Honda Prelude driven by fellow Edinboro freshman Domenico Crea, who, police said, was speeding before the crash at 5:18 p.m. on Draketown Road in Washington Township, a few miles east of the campus.
Mr. Crea, 18, of Erie, was speeding southbound up a hill when he attempted to pass another car at the crest of the hill, state police said.
At the same time, a car, driven in the opposite direction by Edinboro senior Sheldon R. Harmon, 21, of Bolivar, N.Y., arrived atop the same hill.
The Honda and Mr. Harmon's Dodge Intrepid collided head on, police said.
Mr. Eyrolles and his driver were not wearing seatbelts, but Mr. Harmon had been strapped in, troopers said.
Dr. Jeremy D. Brown, president of Edinboro University, addressed the accident an e-mail he distributed to students, faculty, staff and the college community.
"As university president, hearing about a death of one of our community is news that causes me immense sadness," he said in a written, public statement.
Counselors and other support services have been made on campus to assist students, faculty and staff cope with the tragedy.
Dr. Korchnak the Baldwin-Whitehall district also put counselors on alert to offer assistance to any students and staff that needed support.
State police still are investigating the cause of the crash, including questions as to whether either driver was impaired at the time of the accident.
