Traffic is backed up near the Squirrel Hill Tunnel on both the inbound and outbound Parkway East after two separate car accidents tonight, according to emergency dispatch.

One person was injured and taken to UPMC Mercy after a two-vehicle accident on the inbound side. No one was seriously injured in the one-vehicle accident on the outbound side, officials said.

Details on the crashes were not immediately available.
