Q: Ed, should the Steelers sign Larry Johnson as a solution to there past & present short-yardage woes regardless of his off-field antics?

Will Fernandez, Freehold, N.J.

BOUCHETTE: Not only should they not sign him, they will not. The Steelers do not go out of their way to invite trouble into their locker room and if you look at Johnson's history, he's been a mountain of trouble. He'll also be 30 in a few weeks and has not been very good lately. Rashard Mendenhall is quickly becoming one of the best backs in the league and also has shown he can score in short-yardage.
