The Arthritis Foundation Western Pennsylvania Chapter held the Bone Bash Gala & Testimonial Dinner Saturday at the Pittsburgh Hilton. Gala honoree Dr. Freddie Fu (with Hilda) mingled with Lifetime Achievement Awardee Dr. Paul Caplan as the nearly 500 guests browsed the live and silent auction items. Jim Roddey was emcee and auctioneer, while Bob Poling and Dr. Terence Starz chaired the party. West Point graduate Dr. Constance Chu used her dress sword to cut the cake to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. She was an honorary chair along with Franco Harris and Agnus Berenato. Also honored were Pam Watters and Pam Schanwald. Encouraging bidding and buying were board chair Jim Taylor and executive director Dave Martin.
