All Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, state and federal offices and courts will be closed Wednesday for Veterans Day. Banks will be closed. Post offices will be closed, and regular mail will not be picked up or delivered. State liquor stores will be open.

Garbage will be picked up on a normal schedule and the Port Authority of Allegheny County will run regular weekday bus and trolley service; however, the Port Authority's Downtown Service Center will be closed.

The Federation of War Veterans Societies will hold a parade to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Centre Avenue, next to Mellon Arena. The route will travel to Sixth Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Wood Street and the Boulevard of the Allies, with the reviewing stand next to the Steelworkers Building.
