Q: At 6'2, 272 lbs., why don't the Steelers use Lamar Woodley at DE and let Kayaron Fox take some snaps at OLB? Doesn't this put your best-playing players on the field?

Quentin Mabrey, Germantown, Md.

BOUCHETTE: Sometimes you have to move players out of position because you have little choice, like the time Alan Faneca moved from guard to play left tackle or Carnell Lake moved from safety to play cornerback. This is not one of those times. Woodley has not played defensive end in the pros and Fox is an inside linebacker. If you move them, you weaken three positions -- defensive end, outside linebacker and inside linebacker. Nick Eason is equipped to play left defensive end and they have a first-round draft choice behind him to spell him tonight. Plus, Woodley will back him up as the left outside linebacker, where he can bring pressure on the quarterback. Fox will have to play inside linebacker because Lawrence Timmons is out.
