Pitt defeated Division II Coker College, 83-40, this afternoon in the final exhibition game before Friday's regular-season opener against Wofford.
Redshirt freshman point guard Travon Woodall led Pitt with 21 points. Junior center Gary McGhee added 13 points.
Coker did not provide much competition for Pitt. The Panthers led 41-6 at halftime. The only drama was whether Coker would make a field goal in the first half. It did, finally, with 3:56 remaining before the intermission.
Coker did not reach double digits on the scoreboard a little more than five minutes into the second half.
