Pitt is in the top 10 in both national polls marking the first time the Panthers have been ranked in the top ten in November since 1982.
The Panthers (8-1, 5-0 in the Big East) are ranked No. 8 in The Associated Press poll and No. 9 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll.
Also, West Virginia is ranked No. 23 in the coaches poll while Penn State, which lost 24-7 to Ohio State yesterday, is ranked No. 19 in the AP and No. 17 by the coaches.
