A state police fire marshal has been called to investigate a blaze that destroyed a home in Lawrence County early today.

An emergency dispatcher said the fire at the house along Zikeli Lane in Wayne started at about 12:23 a.m. and was out by 4 a.m.

Four adults escaped uninjured and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

The dispatcher said the house and its contents were a "total loss," though a dollar value isn't immediately available.

There are no indications that the fire was intentionally set. The fire marshal was called to investigate due to the extent of the loss, the dispatcher said.

No other details were immediately available.
