Zach Albert, 17, of Boy Scout Troop 404, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the son of Jim and Karen Albert, of Cranberry, and a senior at Seneca Valley High School. He has been involved in Scouting for 11 years.
For his Eagle project, Zach planned, organized and helped to rebuild the labyrinth at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople. He also built a bench for reflection.
Five former North Allegheny students have been named to the district Hall of Fame. They are Katie McCullough Brinkley, field hockey/track, Class of 1996: Ed Huckestein, football/track, '77; Jeff Joswiak, diving, '88; Dave Rodgers, wrestling, '73; and Robert Treser, volleyball, '87. Larry Richert has received the Bob Miller Award as an outstanding supporter of district athletics. Recipients of the Joseph Drazenovich Award for legendary service to athletics, are Drs. Brian Jewell and Mark Langhans.
