Pitt defeated Slippery Rock, 75-64, this afternoon in an exhibition game at the Petersen Events Center.
Dante Taylor, Pitt's prized recruit, led the Panthers with 27 points.
Pitt trailed by seven points midway through the first half and used a 13-2 run in the final 2:58 to take a 40-31 lead at the intermission. Taylor scored 16 points in the first half, including eight in the final three minutes of the half.
Pitt plays one more exhibition game Sunday against Coker College before the Friday Nov. 13 season opener against Wofford.
