A 23-year-old man was shot to death in Garfield early today.
Pittsburgh homicide detectives said the killing occurred at 1:49 a.m. on Cornwall Street.
The victim was identified as Timothy Bottoms.
Police said Mr. Bottoms was shot in the torso. Though a large crowd had formed around him, attempting to render aid, police said, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the leg and was taken by private transportation to a local hospital where he is in stable condition, police said.
No arrests have been made and police are asking anyone with information on this case to call the homicide squad at 412-323-7161. Callers can remain anonymous, police said.
