Q: Penn State has played some tight games at Northwestern in the past. Do you think there's any way the Lions could lose Saturday?

Larry Kimmel, Greensburg, Pa.

MUSSELMAN: Larry, you are right. Penn State is 3-2 in its past five trips to Evanston, Ill., and the games have been decided by an average margin of 6.4 points. Of course, it's hard to forget the 2005 game, when the Lions roared back from a 16-point deficit to beat Northwestern, 34-29, in the final minute. The Wildcats need one more win to be bowl-eligible after rallying from a 25-point deficit last week to beat Indiana, 29-28. Northwestern may pull out some tricks on offense Saturday, but I expect Penn State to get treated to a victory on Halloween.
