Thursday, October 29, 2009

A Clarion University freshman from Penn Hills was stabbed in the leg during a fight last night in a university dining hall.

Two people were taken to the hospital after the argument, including freshman LeVaughn Robinson, a running back on the university football team who formerly played at Penn Hills High School, police told KDKA-TV.

A man, whose name police did not release, stabbed Mr. Robinson in the knee with a knife that he had on him.

The cause of the fight was unknown. Witnesses said state police and university officers remained on the scene hours after the incident.

A university spokesman could not be reached for comment.
