The Frick Art & Historical Center in Point Breeze has eliminated one full-time and two part-time positions because of its shrinking endowment, officials said.
Two additional full-time positions have been changed to part-time.
The changes, which went into effect Oct. 20, were spread across the organization's five departments, said Frick spokesperson Greg Langel. Responsibilities from the eliminated positions will be absorbed by other staff, he said.
While fundraising has been holding steady, earned income has been reduced by the recession. No plans were made to curtail programming.
Mr. Langel said the museum serves 125,000 people throughout the region annually. Museum attendance has risen 5 percent this year.
