Police are searching for three girls who ran away last week from a foster home in Murrysville.
The girls were last seen locally Oct. 21 when a friend drove them from their residence in Murrysville to the Altoona exit on Route 22.
The driver left them at a Sunoco gas station there, Murrysville police Chief Thomas Seefeld said.
The three foster children left home after they got into trouble at their residence, police said.
Police said the girls went to school on the morning of Oct. 21 and decided to run away after classes.
The search has been focused on Altoona and Myrtle Beach, S.C., where one of the girls, Hillary Ott, 16, said her father lives.
"We have checked with Myrtle Beach and with her father and nothing's happening there," Chief Seefeld said. "We're hitting dead ends right now."
Hillary is 5 feet 6 with brown hair and eyes.
The youngest of the three is Laura Kohrs, 14, who is 5 feet 8 and weighs 125 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
The third girl is Linda Bauman, 16, who has red hair and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet 1 and weighs 120 pounds.
Anyone with information on the girls' whereabouts is asked to call Murrysville police at 724-327-2111.
