Baldwin Borough fire forces two to flee home

Two residents escaped an early morning fire that destroyed a home in Baldwin Borough.

The fire began around 3 a.m. in the home at 5402 Chestnut Street. The residents safely made it out of the home by the time firefighters arrived.

Fire crews had to deal with nearby electrical lines and a gas meter that was on fire.Crews from Equitable Gas Company were called to close off the line.
