Lawrence County man sought by police in Butler County robbery
He may be armed and dangerous, police say

State police at Butler are looking for Shawn Aaron Hobel, 27, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, in connection with a robbery in Butler County.

Police said Mr. Hobel was seen fleeing the Last Minit Mart at 1651 Perry Highway in Muddy Creek at 10 p.m. Saturday. Police said the mini-mart had just been robbed.

Police said Mr. Hobel fled in a 1988 multi-colored Ford pickup truck bearing a Pennsylvania registration and license plate YYG4355.

State police at New Castle had attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Mr. Hobel earlier in the evening, a news release from the state police noted.

The suspect may be armed and dangerous, police said.

Mr. Hobel is described as standing 6 feet tall, weighing about 165 pounds, and have brown hair, hazel eyes, and a beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark, long-sleeved shirt.
