Police presence planned Monday at Mt. Lebanon High
Saturday, October 24, 2009

There will be an increased police presence at Mt. Lebanon High School on Monday as a result of graffiti found on a boys' restroom wall yesterday afternoon that threatened a bomb.

According to the district, high school students reported the graffiti to administrators early yesterday afternoon. The graffiti, found on a sixth-floor bathroom wall, said "Bomb 10/26 u all die."

The district said Mt. Lebanon police were called to investigate and found that "no credible threat exists." However, as a precaution, the administration has requested an increased police presence around the high school on Monday.

In addition, the school staff has been asked to be visible in the hallways on Monday during the change of classes and to immediately report any information they may have about the situation. Parents and students were notified about the graffiti.
