Thursday, October 22, 2009

Two suspects have been arrested in the robbery and killing last week of a Beltzhoover man on his front porch.

City police announced today that they have charged 17-year-old Joseph Gainer of Mount Washington and 18-year-old Aaron Phillips of Mount Oliver in the death of Albert "A.J." Bock.

Mr. Bock and friends were on his porch at 3:20 a.m. Saturday when three people approached them and robbed them. They demanded to enter the home, but Mr. Bock was shot in the neck before they got in, and the suspects fled.

The suspects were arrested last night.

Police asked anyone with information on the third suspect to call the Homicide Squad at 412-323-7161. Callers can remain anonymous.
