COMMUNITY FORUM

Cranberry -- The Cranberry Area Chamber of Commerce Legislative & Economic Development Committee will hold an opportunity to meet the candidates at 6:30 p.m. today in council chambers in the Cranberry Township municipal building, 2525 Rochester Road. ENTERTAINMENT

McCandless -- Wexford Acting Studio will present Ahern and Flaherty's production of "Seussical, Jr." at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carson Middle School, 200 Hillvue Lane. Tickets are $16.

Pine -- Greater Harmony Chorus will present its annual show at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at Pine-Richland Middle School, 100 Logan Road. Adult tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door. Tickets are $5 for age 12 and younger. To reserve tickets, call 412-487-1765.

Ross/Butler -- The Pittsburgh Philharmonic will perform "Unsolved Mysteries: Vienna" at 7 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium of North Hills Junior High School, 55 Rochester Road, and at 8 p.m. Oct. 30 at Butler County Community College's Succop Theater. Advance tickets for adults are $12, $15 at the door; $8 for seniors, $10 at the door; and $5 for students. Children 12 and younger admitted free. FUNDRAISERS

Prospect -- Lifesteps will bring back disco during its Star Gala from 6 p.m. to midnight Nov. 7 at The Atrium on Route 422. Dancing Queen, an '80s cover band, will provide music. Hampton -- Hampton Community Library, 3101 McCully Road, will hold the following programs:

• "Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Oh My," 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28. Registration recommended.

• Organization skills seminar by the National Association of Professional Organizers, 7 p.m. next Thursday;

RECREATION

Frazer -- The Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh will host its final star party for 2009, weather permitting, at 6:25 p.m. Saturday at Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Park. Hampton -- The Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy fall foliage walk will be held Sunday, rain or shine. Participants should meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Harmar Shelter in North Park for carpooling. Walkers will hike about seven miles from Hartwood Acres to the shelter. Refreshments will follow.

VOLUNTEERS

Areawide -- North Hills Community Outreach is in need of volunteer drivers for its Free Rides for Seniors shuttle weekdays along Freeport Road. Drivers should be between the ages of 25 and 70 and be comfortable driving a 14-passenger van. No special license is required; training is provided. Contact Marta at 412-449-0151.
