The identities of two men who were killed last night in an Armstrong County crash have been released following notification of their families.

William J. Weiler Jr., 53, of Mars, and Robert V. Girdano, 53, of Apollo, died of blunt force trauma to the head and chest, said Armstrong County Coroner Robert T. Bower.

the accident happened at 4:50 p.m. Saturday on Route 66/28 in Boggs, just north of Kittanning.

According to state police at Kittanning, a teenaged girl who was not identified lost control of her northbound sport utility vehicle and it slid over the center line of the wet road.

Mr. Weiler's oncoming car cashed head-on into the side of the SUV.

The coroner noted that neither Mr. Weiler nor Mr. Girdano were wearing seatbelts.

The teenager was injured but her injuries were not considered life threatening.
