
Eight-year-old Joshua Holder of Clinton, Pa., downed his first deer during a mentored hunt with his father, Jeff Holder, on the opening day of archery season. The eight-point was shot in Sewickley Heights.
"[Joshua] was excited, to say the least, and he was happy to tag the animal with his very own tag," said his dad. "I would like to thank the Game Commission for allowing this Mentored Youth Program, and it seems to me like we should have done this years ago."
