WPIAL Class AAAA: Seneca Valley rallies to beat North HIlls, 21-14

Donny Holl scored on an 8-yard run with 31 seconds left to help Seneca Valley earn a come-from-behind, 21-14 victory against visiting North Hills in the Northern Six Conference.

After North Hills (3-3, 1-1) scored two third-quarter touchdowns to take a 14-6 lead, the Raiders (3-3, 1-1) bounced back with two, fourth-quarter scores, the first coming on Holl's 8-yard touchdown pass to Mike Martin. Holl's conversion pass to Randy Morris tied the score.

Holl finished 16 of 28 for 141 yards passing, and Raiders kicker Will Hugo booted field goals of 50 and 43 yards.

Max Creighan scored on a 48-yard run and Taylor Schmidt on a 2-yard run for the Indians.

OTHER GAMES
Gateway 55, Hempfield 0

Top-ranked Gateway (6-0, 4-0) broke the 50-point plateau for the third game in a row by routing host Hempfield (1-5, 0-4) in the Foothills Conference. Six players scored rushing touchdowns for the Gators, four coming in a 35-point first half. Brendon Felder used his four carries to burst for a game-high 101 yards and scored on a 65-yard run. The Gators have outscored their opponents, 272-35.

McKeesport 44, Penn-Trafford 0

Ty-Meer Brown ran for three touchdowns and Darien Robinson added two in leading No. 2 McKeesport (5-1, 4-0) to the Foothills Conference victory and its third shutout this season. Brown scored on runs of 17 and 27 yards in the first half, when the Tigers jumped in front of the host Warriors (2-4, 2-2), 21-0. Brown added a 1-yard run in the third quarter, while Robinson scored on runs of 51 and 84 yards.

Woodland Hills 36, Kiski Area 7

The No. 3-ranked Wolverines (5-1, 2-0) erupted for 296 yards on the ground and coasted to the Big East Conference win against a visiting Kiski Area (3-3, 1-1) team that had won three games in a row. Dom Timbers led the charge, rushing for 137 yards on 18 carries, including touchdown runs of 15, 6 and 1 yards.

Central Catholic 27, Penn Hills 6

The Vikings (4-2, 1-1) once again bounced back strongly from a loss, this time at Big East Conference foe Penn Hills (2-4, 1-1). Brian Palermo scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 62 yards in the second and third quarters to put Central Catholic ahead for good.

Plum 23, Fox Chapel 6

An opportunistic defense that forced five turnovers helped the Mustangs (2-4, 1-1) pull off the upset at Fox Chapel (3-3, 0-2) in the Big East Conference. Plum trailed, 6-0, at the half, but blanked the Foxes in a second-half comeback that included Demetrius Wellington's 64-yard fumble return, a safety, and Ryan Garrity's 98-yard interception return.

Norwin 34, Connellsville 6

The host Knights (4-2, 2-2) handily defeated the winless Falcons (0-6, 0-4) in the Foothills Conference.

Erie McDowell 35, Latrobe 0

Greg Garmon's 127 yards and two touchdowns paced the Trojans' (5-1, 3-1) punishing ground game in a blanking of host Latrobe (2-4, 1-3) in the Foothills Conference. The Trojans scored 28 points in a first quarter highlighted by Garmon's 80-yard run.

Canon-McMillan 41, Baldwin 26

Chad Hagan and Alex Schram each scored twice to help the Big Macs (3-3, 1-1) defeat visiting Baldwin (1-5, 1-1) in the Great Southern Conference. The Big Macs scored on three long second-half touchdowns, including a 78-yard pass from Zach Hoffman to Mike Hull.

Mt. Lebanon 47, Peters Township 27

Luke Hagy ran for 188 yards and scored four touchdowns to push the Blue Devils (3-3, 1-1) past host Peters Township (4-2, 0-2) in the Great Southern Conference. Mt. Lebanon scored the first 28 points, including Hagy's 96-yard return of the opening kickoff.

Pine-Richland 28, Butler 6

Justin Williams dashed for 173 yards and scored on a 57-yard reception to lead the host Rams (3-3, 1-1) to a Northern Six Conference win against winless Butler (0-6, 0-2). Eric Kordenbrock completed 5 of 13 passes for 137 yards and three touchdowns, including a pair to Tommy Berexa.
