Man wounded in Hill District shooting

A 32-year-old man is in critical condition in Mercy Hospital after he was shot around noon in the Hill District.

The victim, whose name was not released, was shot in a stairwell in the Addison Terrace public housing plan near Bentley Drive, said city police Cmdr. Thomas Stangrecki.

Another man who was with the victim was also targeted but was not hit.

Following the shooting, an acquaintance drove the victim, who was shot in the torso, to the hospital.
