Q: Why did wide receiver Chaz Powell receive less playing time against Illinois?

MUSSELMAN: Powell was sick all last week and only took part in four plays at practice Thursday. Coach Joe Paterno contemplated leaving Powell at home. But in the end, Powell made the trip to Champaign, Ill, but he only appeared in a handful of plays. He never touched the ball.
